Calimanjaro has suspended development for an indeterminate period that the lead developer may allocate time to other critical projects.
Version 1.1.3 is the last developed version. This version was optimized for Windows XP.
1.1.3 will work in Windows Vista and Windows 7.
KNOWN ISSUES:
- DATE SET BUG: When setting date, error: "Failed to set calendar min/max range" appears.
- Solution: press escape twice and then the function will perform normally.
- EVENT ADD BOX: In some configurations of dating, the normal YY two-digit year appears as only Y.
- Solution: Use the up arrow to carefully count the number of years in advance for your event.
When the Event dialog is opened, todays default day, month and year will appear. By selecting the Y field, simply carefully note that if you go up arrow to 3, that means 2013 and if you go down to 9, that means 2009. - The best solution for all issues is to use Windows 7's "Virtual PC" capability and to install a Windows XP virtual machine to run Calimanjaro.
see: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/ for all details and downloads directly from Microsoft.
One may normally install Calimanjaro within any virtual machine running Windows XP or below. - For those not using Win 7 Pro or Enterprise and who don't wish to pay Microsoft for their Virtual PC free virtual machine there is an alternate "VM" which has been tested and works is available from the nice people at Oracle.
See: http://www.virtualbox.org
Install free Virtualbox (or VMWare's commercial virtual machine application) and install your archival Windows XP or even Windows 98 version and then install Calimanjaro within the VM. It will work beautifully.
This is also true for Linux/POSIX and the Mac worlds. - Check every couple of months to see our status on development.
Thank you.
